Ya se conocen cuáles son los juegos candidatos a mejor juego del año. The Game Awards ha dado a conocer los títulos que competiran en las diferentes candidaturas por alzarse con estos premios.
Los seis títulos que pugnan por convertirse en el mejor juego del año serán Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong y Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
GAMING: «Death Stranding 2: On the Beach» ya tiene fecha de lanzamiento y vídeo de presentación
El juego con mayor número de candidaturas es Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 con 12 nominaciones. Con siete destacan también Death Stranding 2: On the Beach y Ghost of Yotei, aunque este segundo no se encuentra entre los posibles Juegos del año (GOTY).
Seis nominaciones suma Hades dos y cinco Hollow Knight: Silksong. Por otra parte, el juego más esperado sigue siendo el GTA 6, que ya ganó este galardón en la anterior edición. Se da además el hecho de que hace unas semanas se conocía que el título de Rockstar volvía a retrasar su salida al mercado.
